Specialized surgical procedures serve to attract patients from more than 3/4 million population base, including:
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
- Incontinence
- Erectile dysfunction
- Infertility
- Kidney stone disease
Although our recently re-established Urology residency program is small, the individual surgical exposure is varied and substantial to prepare for a career in general or academic urology, board certification, and fellowship training.
The educational program is multi-faceted and includes the following:
- Multidisciplinary Genitourinary Oncology Rounds
- Urology Grand Rounds
- Journal Review
- Morbidity and Mortality
- Urology Resident Teaching
- Urology Resident Case Presentation Conference
- Basic Science Research Teaching
We encourage residents to perform all major surgical cases, under direct supervision by the responsible surgeon. Residents acquire an understanding of basic principles of research through their involvement in research activity.
