Pharmacist Coverage
As part of the longitudinal pharmacy practice experience, the resident will function as a clinical staff pharmacist who is responsible for providing clinical and distributive services. This will include a variety of activities such as medication order approval, participation in the department’s pharmacokinetic dosing service, and sterile product and unit dose preparation and checking.
The resident will serve as a clinical staff pharmacist every third weekend and one of the major holidays and minor holidays. The resident will also provide clinical-staff pharmacist coverage on Friday prior to the weekend worked.
