Bacteriology and Microbiology
A series of didactic lectures on the bacteria and fungi that cause dermatologic disease is presented. In addition, residents have a rotation in Microbiology in order to learn how to plate and grow organisms that commonly cause dermatologic disease.
A rotation in infectious disease exposes residents to the dermatologic manifestations of Hepatitis C and HIV disease as well as to a wide variety of exotic diseases from abroad.
