Residency and Fellowship Programs
Welcome to the residency and fellowship programs at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and UVM Medical Center, Vermont’s university hospital. We are proud of our residency and fellowship programs. Sixteen residency and 25 fellowship programs are offered on collaboration with academic medical center partner, UVM Medical Center. Here on our Burlington campus, more than 275 residents and fellows engage in fulfilling our clinical, research, teaching and community service missions.
The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) is a private, non-profit council that evaluates and accredits residency training programs across the country. At the University of Vermont and UVM Medical Center, 15 of 16 residency programs are accredited by ACGME; the dental residency is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation; 21 of 26 fellowship programs are accredited by ACGME; 2 are accredited by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
